Synopsis:
One day in the summer holidays, Kyon suddenly got a call from Haruhi. The SOS Brigade members went to the public pool and played there. Next day, Haruhi, Yuki and Mikuru bought yukata and they went to the Bon Festival and played with sparklers. Next day, they worked part-time at a supermarket. Next day, they caught cicadas in a forest. They kept on playing with batting practice, a test of their courage in a graveyard and watching fireworks. On 31 August, Kyon spent the whole day doing homework and playing with his sister. He went to bed at 11:50 pm.

Yukata is a kimono with thin cloths for wearing in summer.
